The year is 1044. Edward the Confessor sits on the English throne after nearly 30 years of Danish rule.

A Little Saxon Violence is a fictional encounter between Eanfrid and Aeoelwald, two rival Saxon Eorls. Aeiolwald has enlisted the assistance of Danish pirates led by Harald Goldenhair to launch a raid on one of Eabfrid's villages.

Terrain

The terrain is by KJ Warren of Realistic Modelling Services.

Rules

The rules are mainly Pig Wars, adapted to use dice instead of cards, with a little bit of influence from Larry Brom's The Sword And The Flame along the way.
